I always enjoyed playing games growing up but got into ‘modern’ board gaming in 2011 since meeting Adam. I have made so many great friends from getting into this hobby.
I also enjoy quad roller skating (someone needs to make a game with this theme), reading and RPGs, in particular Warhammer Fantasy and D&D.
I’m happy to try any games but mostly enjoy conflict/area control games, thematic euros and social games.
Some of my favourite games are Bloodrage, Twilight Imperium IV, Obsession, Unfair, Dinosaur Island, Monikers and Telestrations.

I am Mike. I hate bio’s as I never know what to say. All I can really tell you is that I am a nerd with various interests. As well as board games I also attend cons and cosplay. I am a collector of things including, comics, Pokemon cards and toys, mostly; Star Wars Black series figures. My big 5 fandoms are Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters, Power Rangers and anime.

I have enjoyed nerdy pursuits for over half my life – when in Sixth Form I was introduced me to D&D and Magic the Gathering and I have never looked back. Later when I moved to London I joined a Magic club, and then sideways stepped into a boardgames club (Isleworth Boardgamers).
SO many Definitely escape room games are my favourite. I also like dice rollers, engine builders, set collection, drafting, story-based, word games… etc! Anything as long as its fun, and especially if its cute.
Unlock, Quacks of Quedlingbirg, Meeple circus, 7 wonders, Unfair, Codenames, Anomia, Robo rally, Tyrants of the Underdark, Terraforming Mars, Dice settlers, bananagrams, werewords. There are more but I’ve probably already put too many

Long time lurker and computer enthusiast. My first real introduction to physical games (outside of monopoly and dark world) was the Pokemon trading card game, it wasn’t until much later coerced into trying modern board games by Adam Best in 2009 that I was properly introduced into this world, and I’ve been along for the ride ever since.

Role Play Games
Still fairly new to RPGs and more recent member of HB, I joined in 2019, and played my first TTRPG in February 2020. 20-30something systems later I’ve been volunteered to help with the RPGs this year and bring our experiences online the past 2 years back to the real world. I just like dice but end up with responsibility. But in all honesty HB is a place I look forward to going to each time.
That game/system I haven’t played yet.
I am very sociable as long as there isn’t too much noise and unstructure at group meets. I have ADHD and ASD so struggle with long or complicated games, but try and join in for as long and much as possible. If I’m sat alone, I’m not unhappy, just taking time out. If I am unhappy etc, believe me, I’d say
Worker placement, Gathering resources, Nothing too long.
