We’ve just lanched an emoji quiz, enter for fun or donate £2 to Herefordshire mind to have a chance to win herefordshireboardgamers.co.uk/emoj
We’ve spent a week testing all sorts of platforms from playing games online and chatting. We posted our finding in our a couple of guides.
The technology we’ve chosen for now is Facebook and Discord.
We’ll be using a number of gaming services including Tabletopia and Jackbox.
If you want to be ready please,
find and follow us on facebook.
Install the free discord on your phone or PC.
Join our discord
Install Tabletopia via Steam, (both are free)
Jackbox only requires a browser and play one nearly any device.
Also do get your microphone and headset/ head phone out.
If you have a second device get that ready too.
We’d love your support and feedback and if this work we will try and do more mini game sessions over the next few months and maybe into the future, as well as passing on our knowledge. Also do be patient with us!
We will be playing all sorts of games as well as helping you organise games! Give it a go and worse case you will learn some new technology and a few mild swear words.
Currently we don’t have a platform to share the webcams of everyone (which is great I hate being on webcam) but we are investigating skype and zoom.
Finally do use our platforms and our knowledge to run your own meet ups and events.
Finally finally please can you test these links and let me know if they don’t work for you

We are run by volunteers for you! To provide game nights, sessions a community and now a free game lending library. We also aim to give back by boosting and supporting other clubs and raising money for charity.
We can’t do it with out! We need your help advertising, please share our events on social media, in your work place and communities.
We also need prizes, if you have contacts please let me know or refer us. We know times are challenging for all but we really do make the donations count and also try hard to pay our sponsor back with social media shouts and for our top sponsors inclusion in our life size games!

We will be updating Flickr which these images this weekend.
Flickr includes tagging of photographs so it is easier to search, we have over 500 pictures of games and gaming on flickr so do show you friends and family what modern games and gaming actually look like!
The proceeds will be split between Mind (25%) and Herefordshire Mind (75%) HBG fundraise for Herefordshire Mind and raised an awesome £1790 last year.
This would be perfect for some gaming clubs, shops, cafes or anyone with enough room to play it really.
Ticket price £2. You can buy as many tickets as you like but please note in the comments here how many tickets you have “purchased” when you donate.
Win our beloved first child and own a piece of board gaming history!
Giant Tsuro was originally made by my best man for our wedding, to be used instead of our first dance, as we are both introverts. This is perfect for game clubs, board game cafes, conventions and charity days.
This is the first out of three Giant games, games we make to raise money for charity and awareness of our wonderful hobby. We also have Hey that’s my fish and 6ft tall Terror in Meeple city.
It is made of B grade carpet tiles and black car spray paint and cost us around £40 to make. It is nearly indestructible but it is very heavy. It does sometimes leave black marks on your hands and does show some mild wear.
I can deliver to the UK games expo or happy to have an excuse to visit another game club, I’ll even teach it. (Delivery range to be discussed) We have taken our giant games to Airecon, Dragon Daze and Great Indoors.
It takes 3m by 3m of open space to play it and we play by the full rules except for recommending the players have two tiles and not three as they are heavy. An umpire to call out turn order and refresh tiles is recommended but left unmanned it gets a lot of play as well.
More information on the giant games here
Our giant games can be seen here on the 18th May 2019
